Milk Makeup Future Fluid concealer review

Have you heard anyone raving about the Milk Makeup Future Fluid? I certainly haven’t. But yet, when I ran into it at Sephora I decided to pick it up as a concealer to try. Let’s see if my hunch was the right one.

Usually I feel Milk Makeup is a brand that easily gets picked up in the online beauty space and people rave about their products. However, this launch happened quite silently and when I spotted it in store I was intrigued and therefore wanted to try it.

Review: Milk Makeup Future Fluid concealer 2C

At €30 for a concealer this is right on point with other products from the same brand. Milk Makeup is sold at Sephora and other high end retailers so it makes sense for them to have this product at this price. It comes with 8.5 mls of product which is quite a good amount for a concealer.

What does this concealer have to offer?

My first reason for being intrigued? The doe foot applicator. It looks like an arrow to me, which means it is super easy to use on the undereye area. According to the brand this is a multi-use concealer that is buildable and lightweight. It contains skincare like ingredients and comes in 30 shades. The coverage is a medium to full which is more than I normally go for.

How does this concealer swatch?

However the main reason for me to purchase this was really simple: this felt great on the skin. It felt rich and creamy and yet it is packed with pigment. I am usually a fan of sheerer concealers but this intrigued me. Because this formula feels as thin as some of my favorite concealers, yet it covers everything without any effort.

This concealer does come with a bit of a learning curve though. As it is so pigmented I feel you do not need a lot. Applying this like I normally do where I apply it straight from the doe foot onto my face has been the recipe for getting creases. The trick with this is to go in with light layers and build up the coverage as you go.

What does this look like on the face?

I took these pictures before I had discovered that this is best applied by taking a bit of product onto the back of the hand and then picking it up with a brush. But look at how stunning this concealer looks on the under eye. Shade 2C is a highlighter shade for me, but where I normally find lighter shades to lack in coverage this definitely does not. It wears all day with minimal creasing and when it does crease you can easily pat it back into place with a finger.

Should you buy the Milk Makeup Future Fluid concealer?

This is a great concealer and a bit of a wild card as I had heard so little hype around this. It is definitely a good one. It’s not as foolproof as others I have tried as you need to be careful how much you apply. However, I enjoy this shade, the coverage is great and this never looks dry and cakey on my skin. It is definitely a bit of a different formula from others I have tried and it has a fuller coverage which is something I normally don’t go for. So a unique product for me that turned out very well.
