In total there are 14 shades and this is describes as a serum foundation that has a ‘radiant matte’ finish. So I was intrigued especially at this price point.

Because this foundation is an affordable one at that. It will set you back €6.49 for a standard sized 30 ml bottle. Because this affordable and there is only one store that carries it, it can be difficult to buy though. This is only available from Kruidvat and the displays are usually picked over, so I ordered this online to ensure my bottle was pristine. I also feel there are more shades available online than there are in stores.
What does this foundation have to offer?
As you can see in the swatch you can see that the name Radiant Matte Serum foundation is pretty spot on. This is a thin, lightweight foundation that has a bit of glow, but there is also a natural finish to it. This foundation promises to create a soft focus effect on the skin while hydrating the skin with vitamin E and B3.
This also has an SPF20 in it. It is supposed to have buildable coverage from medium to full. A few drops can give a light to medium coverage, apply more and you can increase the coverage. Moreover this is supposed to be longlasting to boot. Quite some bold claims for an affordable foundation for sure.
What is the shade match like?
While this foundation shade looks right at first glance it sadly does appear to be a little bit too yellow even though this shade swatches beautifully on the back of my hand. It also was a bit patchy to apply due to the very liquidy texture. Rather than blending in this kind of smears around. It looks pretty once the rest of my makeup is done though and it certainly lasts a long time.
What is the coverage like?
As you can see here this coveras up my redness just fine. It still looks natural though and I love the finish this has. It looks very natural and it has a great wear time. It feels great on the skin too. While this is matte, this isn’t drying and that is a rare thing to find. Because of the matte texture though I do feel it isn’t great on my dry patches and it tends to accentuate them a little too much for my liking. However, overall this foundation looks pretty and exceeded my expectations.
Should you buy the Kruidvat Stay With Me foundation?
This is not my favorite all time foundation: it certainly has its flaws. It is streaky and smeary to apply. And the shade isn’t quite right for me as it pulls very yellow on me. That said, this isn’t even the lightest shade and the texture and finish are beautiful once this gets onto the skin. It lasts a long time and it certainly has a few perks.
For the price point, this is a great foundation that looks natural on and has great wear time. It is affordable and comes in a decent shade range. Its limited availability might set it back a little bit, but if you visit the Netherlands or if you live here already it is worth taking a peak at when you’re in store.
