Promoting K-beauty makeup products is a hill I am willing to die on. I don’t care how most people think they are sheer and do nothing. As a fair skinned person, K-beauty makeup has been the revelation I needed in my life. Will the Klavuu Urban Pearlsation Sparkle eyeshadows live up to my K-beauty expectations?
Generally, I love K-beauty for the overall aesthetic: I love sheer, blendable products that enhance my skin rather than camouflage it. I love the look of a BB cream and prefer it over foundation, but the true obsession started when I tried some eyeshadow palettes earlier this year. Let’s check out some singles to see if they are as good!
Review: Klavuu Urban Pearlsation Sparkle eyeshadow in Glam Brown & Silver Lilac
K-beauty comes in a range of price points, just like Western makeup. I buy most of my K-beauty products through Yesstyle as they are easiest for me to shop through. These eyeshadows retails for €8.40 which is definitely not bad, but Yesstyle has sales on all the time. So you can definitely get this for less money.
What does this product have to offer?
Why I wanted to try these Klavuu eyeshadows? Can you tell? They look a bit bland straight on, but once you see these hit the light, you just know. This product is available in 5 shades of which I selected the two cool tones. Glam Brown is the deeper more taupe leaning shade. Silver Lilac is a bit more sheer and works well as a topper but can be build up to be used by itself.
How do these Klavuu eyeshadows swatch?
With K-beauty being known for sheer but buildable products I was a bit surprised how pigmented these were. Glam Brown has a deeper, neutral toned brown base with a lot of silver and brown sparkles. It pulls like a cool toned taupe on the lids and it builds up quickly.
Silver Lilac is very pretty too but this is best used over another shadow. The light shade with a bit of a sheer base is one of those shades that looks different over every shadow you use it with as it is so dimensional.
Both are very sparkly but without being glittery. This lasts all day on my skin with a regular eyeshadow primer and these don’t fall down or create fallout through the day.
What do these shadow look line on the eyes?
Sadly, pictures don’t do these shadows justice as these work much better in real life. The effect? A glass, wet look finish on the eye. Wearing these looks like you have applied an eye gloss but you are wearing powders. What better shadows to play with for the festive season? These shadows and a red lip and your Christmas look is all set and ready to go.
Should you buy the Klavuu Urban Pearlsation eyeshadows?
There is a reason why I am squeezing out this review when I do: I want to feature this product in my end of year favorites because I love these. These shadows look wet, lovely and dewy on the skin, but they are 100% powders.
In comparison to more high end things I have tried, this I feel is the closest I have found to my beloved Victoria Beckham Lid Lustre shadows that I discovered last year. These are just as sparkly and buttery smooth but they are a fraction of the price.
So yes, these are definitely worth it and I think more people should be raving about them. Which is why you can expect me to rave about these any chance I get because these are so pretty and so long lasting even though they are very sparkly. Highly recommend!
