No I didn’t forgot to review this product, I just ran out of room in October to be able to list it. There is so much makeup and only this much time right? But I still wanted to make sure I got to review the Studio London by Superdrug U Dew U Face Gloss.
If you are not in the UK though, this product may be hard to find. I found mine at Superdrup and the brand Studio London was promoted as a new, in-store brand unique to the UK drugstore retailer. I was intrigued so I picked it up and loved it. So here is my review.
Review: Studio London U Dew U Face Gloss highlighter
The best part? This product only retails for €5 and it is a great alternative to much more expensive products that do a similar thing. In fact, when I was using this in my Shop My Stash it very much reminded me of the effect I get with the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer.
What does this product do?
This is one of those products that looks like nothing in the pan, but the magic happens when you apply it to the face. Now with this type of product I am afraid of one thing: is it going to be sticky? This definitely feels sticky going on, but I didn’t experience my hair getting stuck or anything like that. It just looks glowy and makes your skin look like glass. It is transparent so no matter your skin tone this will work.
What does this look like in a swatch?
Like other face glosses this is difficult to capture in pictures. So please go back to the videos I did in October, because when I was using this I wore it nearly every single day. I absolutely fell in love.
Why does this work so well? The transparent shade makes it go with every blush shade. You can easily tap it on with your fingers and application is a breeze. It lasts all day too and adds a very natural looking glass like finish to the cheeks.
What does it look like on the cheeks?
Again, here you can’t really see it in this image here, but you can see a slight difference. There is a slight sheen here, but you can see it much better in movement so I recommend watching this video. It is just so much easier to capture highlighters when you move your face. Yes it is subtle, but it also has a very pretty effect, especially in real life.
Should you buy the Studio London Face Gloss?
As stunning as this is, because you can only buy this if you have access to Superdrug. So unless you are in the UK or if you are planning a trip to the UK, this may not be easy to get.
That said, it is a stunning product that does at a very affordable price point what I have only found more expensive brands to do. Especially at this price I think it can do no wrong. It is pretty, easy to work with and an affordable steal. If you have never tried a face gloss and you want to try it, this is worth a shot.
