You should never judge a book by its cover, but if palettes come in pretty packaging it is just a bit more enticing to buy them. Sometimes you just want your palettes to not only work, but to also be put in cute packaging. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and all that jazz. That said, once I put together my favorite palettes with my favorite packaging, I figured I am more about practicality of use by now. While I love a pretty, luxurious eyeshadow experience, I do not like it if it gets in the way of usability of the palette.
