YAY for new music! These past few weeks I made a few new discoveries again and dug some older tracks. Rather than wait to post about them in my monthly Music of the Moment overview, I decided to share them again with you. Here’s 5 songs I’ve been digging.
Bent Knee – Sunshine
As sweet as this sounds at the start, that’s how much of a build up this has. Including a sample of standard track ‘You are my sunshine, my only sunshine’, this song is not for the faint of heart.
Galantis – Runaway (U & I)
Talking about songs that take some time to catch on. I picked this up the minute is was released last winter, but I didn’t start listening to it until now and by now it’s been number 1 on the charts. Oh well…
Kero Kero Bonito – Build It Up
J-POP meets indie Electro? Yes, please! This song is catchy and a great bridge between Western styles and Japanese pop music.
Royal Blood – One Trick Pony (Official Audio)
There are bands that you don’t start to appreciate until you hear their back catalog. I like Royal Blood’s album, but I properly fell in love with their rocking tunes until I heard their b-side releases. This is one of those songs.
